A little hint for your future tests, Car X street has in its settings an build in FPS counter nowadays you will find in the games settings. One thing you skipped is the display. It's not that big of a deal in android phones because most have atleast some form of cooling but iphones are the worst when it comes to throttling the display. Dropping the brightness should help with thermal management but how much do you think affects the power management and throttling?

The temperature you're showing in your videos is always battery temperature. Most Li-ion batteries have an upper temperature limit of 50°C, above which the service life is drastically reduced.

Qualcomm already has upscaling and frame generation but nobody's using it yet, and on the apple side only a handful of games are using their upscaling tech. Games like wuthering waves with fsr seem to only use it for anti-aliasing, sort of like 'dlaa', though i might be wrong

Man, this is a very good and easy to understand introduction to termal issues on mobile devices. I really appreciate it. And I have a personal story to share: I had the RoG 3, which still runs Genshin Impact quiet well nowadays but it gets uncomfortably hot to touch. Now, I switched to a RoG 8, after almost 4 years, and I'm very impressed. It is an efficient phone for daily tasks, the "slow" charge speed is 30w and I can't make it get hotter than 42C with that active cooling system in the aggressive mode.

Running Genshin Impact at 1440p is just shooting middle fingers at your phone

Spent bit of money to get a decent cooper, piva bl7, my s23 ultra never throttle in genshin now, it's always 30-35c even in Fontaine water region, fps wise I don't notice that much of a difference but battery life wise it last longer

rip me, i might have to play genshin lowest settings 30 fps, than 45 or 60? (and what samsung phones have battery bypass?)

My s24ultra is performing better than ever doesn't thermal throttle because it all depends on ambient temperature and the only game that really brings 43c to 44c tops is uncaped and high settings in warzone mobile because it isn't optimized for the million time if the games are not optimized then it's likely to thermal throttle 😊 my s24ultra is a beast honestly stability 71% understand me.

Well this might be a good place if s24 or s24+ is worth buying (the exynos version), in hot and humid climate like the country I live in, because I have heard about it's over heating and I don't feel pretty safe carrying a mini oven in my pocket. Like comparing it's performance and heat compared to the S24Ultra or even previous S23 line up

So basically we can't say that RAM "compensate" a weak processor ? Chipset and GPU are the only things that matter when it comes to performance?

Yeah, probably best that you mentioned your laptop is 32GB up front, since people using the 16GB will not see this performance for most games- for whatever reason, this chipset leverages ram even more than AMD does. Kind of deceiving, though you did not mean it.

The problem is that for most games, you'll see way better performance with 32gb with this chipset. Anybody buying the 1200p version will see at least 10% less performance overall.
